Mace was founded as privately-owned business in 1990 with a clear mission – to pursue a better way of doing things. We were founded as an ambitious and dynamic start-up and have grown in size, scale and reputation. Today, Mace employs over 6,000 people across five global hubs in Europe, Middle East and North Africa, the Americas, Sub Saharan Africa and Asia Pacific.
For 30 years our adventurous spirit has driven us to do things better and drive change through our industry. We recognise that now more than ever we must be bolder, braver and more resilient as we respond to new market challenges and navigate through a rapidly changing world.
Since entering the Irish market in 2006, our service and sector offer has grown considerably to cover aviation, data centres, technology, and commercial offices.
Today, we’re an established top 10 construction contractor in the country and our consultancy team has been instrumental in delivering a series of major projects and programmes across the breadth of the infrastructure industry.
With Irish infrastructure schemes receiving significant investment as part of Project Ireland 2040, there is a healthy long-term pipeline of major projects and programmes in the country. Add to this, overseas investment in exciting sectors like offshore wind farming and data centres, and it's clear that Ireland is set for a construction and infrastructure boom over the next two decades.
To support Ireland in rising to the challenge and building the property and infrastructure it needs, Mace is using its unique blend of global construction know how and consultancy expertise to offer a different perspective through project and programme management, PMO, cost and commercial services.
Meanwhile, our construction business offers a complete set of delivery and procurement solutions across a host of sectors, including commercial, data centres, aviation and technology. In recent years, we’ve seen particular success in delivering the next generation of hyperscale data centres for leading tech giants. Applying advanced offsite and digital solutions, our team has driven service excellence in the sector, delivering best in class projects, recognised as such by the industry.

Our ambition is to become a leading global contributor to reducing carbon in the built environment. In 2021 we achieved our goal to be a net zero carbon business.
We achieved a 50% reduction in Mace’s carbon emissions across the year, achieved through a variety of trials and solutions including a 75% increase in renewable energy, a 75% reduction in business travel emissions, a ban on diesel generators and an increase in the use of cement alternatives.
Being a responsible business goes beyond our own practices. Our clients and supply chain partners are an extension of us and we will support them to achieve their sustainability ambitions with alternative solutions that ultimately create a circular economy.
